I very much appreciate the depth of thought that has gone into this piece. You have articulated what I have felt in my bones, but been unable to explain with such clarity. Professionals are sometimes blinded by their training and groupthink, and we need to be brave enough to challenge what just feels instinctively wrong. I supervise other Speech and Language Therapists who are ND affirming and who honour GLP, and they universally worry that this kind of connection-based therapy feels so good, so natural, so resonant, so collaborative, so creative, and is that ok? Isn't it astonishing that we worry about this, that our previous training has made us so controlling, so constrained, that to suddenly be free to let the child show us the way feels revolutionary?

This is good, really good. Call outs like this are essential to good science.
